The Location Of The Second Meadow
Second Meadow is the official ground for Biggleswade United Football Club. Local history records show that Biggleswade United have been playing at this location since as early as 1929.
Stadium Expansion Plans
In November 2007, the club released
plans to expand and update the stand and club facilities. The development work is to be funded by the Football Foundation and both Town and District Councils. The club will fund additional costs which has been estimated at £5,000 to £10,000. The total cost of the project has been estimated at £70,000 - £80,000.
The plans include the development of a new 250 seater stand, new external fencing and turnstile entrances. After development the ground will comply with the minimum specification of level 8 clubs in the national pyramid. Biggleswade United are currently a level 9 club. See the
